Samsung Launches New 4-Door French Door Refrigerator RF4287
Samsung Electronics America Inc., a market leader and award-winning innovator in consumer electronics and home appliances, today announced its innovative new 4-Door French Door Refrigerator, the Samsung RF4287, which received a 2010 ICES Innovations Honoree Award. In addition, the Samsung Induction Range received an ICES Innovations Honoree Award in the Eco-Design and Sustainable Technology category.

Samsung’s new RF4287 4-Door French Door Refrigerator takes cooling to new levels with the Custom Cool Drawer with Smart Divider, a flexible middle drawer that can be individually temperature-controlled to store produce, party platters, deli meats, or even soft freeze foods. The Custom Cool Drawer is controlled separately from the refrigerator and freezer compartments, and the range of temperatures within this drawer facilitates longer-lasting storage by offering various cooling environments. For example, the soft freezing level starts at 26°F, which is perfect for meats and fish. It also features a Cold Drink setting of 32°F, a Deli and Snack setting of 37° F, and a Wine and Party Platter setting of 47°F. Consumers can adjust the temperature of the drawer as needed to accommodate different cooling needs. Aesthetically, the Custom Cool Drawer opens separately from the exterior of the refrigerator and is located at counter-height so it is convenient for everyone in the family to access. It also has an ergonomic handle that makes it easy to open.

The Samsung RF4287 Refrigerator features a large internal storage capacity of 28 cu.ft., and a beautiful stainless steel design with a stylish Blue LED digital display, and bright, space-saving LED lighting on the interior that illuminates every corner of the unit. In addition, it features Samsung’s Twin Cooling System®, which circulates the air within the refrigerator and freezer compartments individually to keep food super fresh by eliminating odor transfer and maintaining optimal humidity levels in each compartment. The RF4287 is also Energy Star® qualified.

The RF4287 builds on Samsung’s award-winning success in refrigeration. This past year, the company received the top ranking in refrigeration among major home appliance manufacturers in the annual J.D. Power and Associates 2009 Kitchen Appliance and Laundry Appliance Studies. Samsung’s award in Customer Satisfaction in the French Door and Side-by-Side refrigeration categories was the company’s fifth consecutive win in the category since the appliance studies were first conducted in 2005. No other appliance brand has received this type of consecutive recognition.
