KitchenAid Reinvents The Blender
KitchenAid is revolutionizing the blender category with the introduction of an ultra-powerful, first-of-its-kind blender for the home that eliminates the manual locking system and replaces it with an interlocking magnetic drive system to power its blades and safely secure its jar.
According to Beth Robinson, senior brand experience manager for KitchenAid, when the brand's designers and engineers set out to develop a new blender, their goal was to completely change the blending experience for home cooks just as the iconic KitchenAid stand mixer did when it was introduced almost a century ago. The result, she says, is a blender that offers unprecedented performance with intuitive technology and timeless design.

"Similar to the way induction cooktops use magnets to power the cooking process, this game-changing blender does the same by harnessing the potent force of magnetic technology," says Robinson. "Our engineers have leveraged this technology to design a blender that is not only powerful but also incredibly easy to use compared to traditional models."
A thoughtfully designed magnetic coupler connecting the motor to the pitcher not only powers the blades, but also allows for a flat, smooth base with a front-load design. Instead of a complicated locking system that requires twisting and turning to connect and remove the pitcher from the base, the magnetic system allows the pitcher to easily glide in and out from the base. A sleek, low profile design allows the blender to fit neatly under most cabinets for convenient access, whether for daily smoothies or nightly meal preparation.
Featuring a powerful 2HP motor, the new blender can handle a range of blending tasks from smoothies and ice drinks, to making homemade almond or peanut butters. Further enhancing the blender's performance is the brand's exclusive Diamond Blending System with patented stainless steel blades and a diamond-shaped, large capacity 60-oz. BPA-free pitcher that creates a powerful vortex for thorough and efficient blending.

Pre-programmed, hands-free settings for icy drinks and smoothies, soups, milkshakes and whole juices takes the guess work out of the blending cycle, while eliminating the need to hover over the blender while it works. Variable speed controls plus a pulse function offers the ability to adjust accordingly for a range of blending tasks and recipes.
An ingredient hub thoughtfully located in the top of the blender's housing allows for ingredients to be securely and easily added during the blending process. The ingredient hub's cap doubles as a convenient measuring cup with markings, while a soft grip pitcher provides easy handling and a smooth base quickly wipes clean.
"Given its extraordinary versatility and streamlined design, we think that rather than tucking this powerful kitchen tool away, cooks will be inspired to leave it out for their next culinary endeavor," notes Robinson.
Assembled in the USA at the brand's Greenville, Ohio manufacturing plant, the new blender will be available this July in Candy Apple Red, Frosted Pearl, Onyx Black and Sugar Pearl Silver at a suggested retail price of $599.99.
